Software Validation Facility for embedded systems (0J8G)
A Finnish SME, specialised in the satellite on-board software development and validation, has developed a software validation (SVF) facility for workstation testing of real-time embedded software. SVF is a custom test environment providing means for unit, integration and functional testing of target software in a simulated test environment. Partners from software industry are being sought for the development of further applications in the non-avionics domain and to exploit the existing know-how.
Chipless low-cost electronic ID system with all printed tags (0J5T)
A Swedish research institute has a developed a chipless electronic ID technology for low-cost tagging of flexible substrates. The ID codes are all-printed and compatible with EPC (electronic product code). Possible applications are product and asset tracking, supply chain automation, access control, brand name protection and authentication. The institute is looking for technical cooperation and application development with industry, such as printing houses and packaging companies.
Ultra-fast thermal sheer stress sensor that is CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) compatible (0ILM)
A UK university has developed a low voltage thermal shear stress sensor that is CMOS electronics compatible for real-time turbulent flow measurements in aerospace, naval vehicles & automotive. The low-cost micro sensor uses aluminium or tungsten as a sensing element which avoids piezo-resistivity induced pressure sensitivity. The university is looking for major commercial partners for further development and licensing.
High temperature ASICs and circuits for up to 250°C ambient temperature for application in industrial automation, automotive, aerospace etc. (0IB1)
A German institute has developed a high temperature complementary metal-oxide semiconductor technology for industry/scientific application. It features analogue and digital capabilities, up to 30 volt operation, electrically erasable programmable read-only memory and micro-machined pressure sensor options. They are able to develop application specific integrated circuit and modules based on ceramic substrates. They look for industrial/scientific partner for commercial/manufacturing agreement etc.
Highly efficient thermo chip, converting heat energy into electricity (0J2G)
An SME from Southern Sweden is developing a new product which is a combined cooling and energy chip. The chip is very efficient and is able to convert heat energy to electric energy with very high efficiency. The company is currently looking for a technical co-operation, manufacturing agreement or a commercial agreement with technical assistance.
GPS based datalogging and monitoring system (0IWM)
A UK SME is looking for partners to assist, financially and materially, with the development and commercial application of 'next generation' location based data-monitoring system. This technology addresses the rapid development of interest in environmental monitoring. Commercial collaboration and/or a licensing agreement is sought.
Seeking expertise in stamping lead frames and laser welding of electronic compontents onto a lead-frame circuit (0IX0)
A UK-based global manufacturer of sensor solutions seeks an established automotive supplier to assist in development of a new engine control sensor product. Expertise required includes: stamping lead frames, attaching components such as capacitors and microprocessors, and plastic over-moulding in high-pressure polyamide (PA). The product will be used in a high-temperature automotive environment. The company is interested in manufacturing and/or commercial agreements.
Device for reducing bycatches in purse seine fishery 0IKP)
A Portuguese university, highly experienced in coastal fisheries, developed and tested experimental By-catch Reducing Devices (BRD). The BRDs can be used on demersal purse-seine fishery and were proven to be effective on the reduction of by-catches and discards, with an increase in the catch of larger fishes. The university is seeking partners within the fishery industry to establish technical consultancy deals and joint further development to adapt the BRDs to different types of fishing nets.
High precision portable tools for ski and snowboards edge sharpening (0IZW)
An Italian small firm creates tools for ski and snowboard tuning. The key product is a portable electric tool for edge tuning: this machine works on the edge using a grinding cup; it's designed to work on little number of skis when a high precision is needed. The firm is looking for a technical partnership with Research centres and Universities, interested in innovative abrasive materials, in creating customized tools or in adapting the considered technology to specific needs.
